NBA's Chicago Bulls Coach Bill Cartwright Spotlights Author

Amazon.com's Top 25 Entertainment Biography "My Fractured Life" about life in Hollywood, Music, and Theater, features cover art exclusively in the colors of author and basketball fanatic Rikki Lee Travolta's favorite NBA teams. In appreciation, Chicago Bulls Coach Bill Cartwright sent Travolta a personal thank you and the two Windy City icons exchanged autographed materials.

CHICAGO (November 14, 2003) Featured in the Top 25 of Amazon.com's Entertainer Biographies, "My Fractured Life" features a red, black, and white cover identical to the team colors of the Chicago Bulls National Basketball Association (NBA) franchise. Author Rikki Lee Travolta personally insisted that Infinity Publishing use the colors, reflecting his love of basketball and the NBA.

"I love this game," stated Travolta when announcing the decision at a press conference prior to the publication, honoring the current motto of the NBA for celebrity endorsements.

Travolta provided individually endorsed, signed copies of the high selling novel to each principal member of the Chicago Bulls staff and player roster.

Upon learning of Travolta's dedication to the Chicago Bulls and the NBA with his choice of red, black, and white book cover art, coach Bill Cartwright sent a personal thank you. In appreciation for the autographed book, multi-NBA champion Cartwright presented Travolta with an autographed championship player's card.

"The Chicago Bulls are a first class organization, headed by a first class coach in Bill Cartwright and general manager in John Paxon," said Travolta. "This is a team that I not only support, but personally endorse."

"Chicago is a city of pride," he continued. "The fans in Chicago should never fall victim to being fair-weather fans. True Chicagoans love the Bulls, will continue to love the Bulls, and will always love the Bulls."

Bill Cartwright was a key contributor to five NBA World Championships as a player and assistant coach. On December 28, 2001, the Bulls put his 20 years of NBA experience to work, entering the next phase of their post-championship era by naming Cartwright the 14th head coach in team history.

Travolta defined the title grooms role in Chicago and around the globe in "Tony n' Tina's Wedding" -- the longest running stage comedy in history. Along with Donny Osmond, Michael Damien, and the U.K.'s Stephen Gately, he is one of the best-known celebrities to star in the Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."

Travolta was a special guest during the Chicago Bulls' "Library Night" during the 2002-03 season. A noted literacy advocate and celebrity library spokesperson, Travolta was prominently featured seated with representatives of Chicago area libraries at the Bulls event. The Bulls participate with area libraries in the NBA's "Read to Achieve" program.
