Shell Taps PFSweb to Support Home Management Initiative PFSweb to provide e-commerce support, call center services, order fulfillment

Shell Energy Services Company has selected PFSweb, Inc., (Nasdaq: PFSW) to provide order management, e-commerce, call-center and fulfillment services for Shells new initiative called Shell HomeGenie, an integrated home management system that allows consumers to monitor their homes and control select appliances at anytime, from anywhere.

PLANO, Texas (PRWEB) November 14, 2003 -- PFSweb, Inc. (Nasdaq: PFSW), a leading provider of business process outsourcing solutions, has been selected by Shell Energy Services Company to provide order management, e-commerce, call-center and fulfillment services for Shells new initiative called Shell HomeGenie, an integrated home management system that allows consumers to monitor their homes and control select appliances at anytime, from anywhere.

Under the agreement, PFSweb will design, build and manage the e-commerce portion of the Shell HomeGenie Web site (shop.ShellHomeGenie.com), planned to launch in North America in 2004. PFSweb will perform order management functions and provide order fulfillment and customer service support through distribution and call centers in Memphis, Tenn. and Plano, Texas.

Shell HomeGenie is a home management system that provides consumers with simple, Web-based remote access of household systems and devices through a computer or cellular phone with an Internet connection. Shell HomeGenie allows homeowners to remotely access most household heating and cooling systems through the Web-enabled Shell HomeGenie Programmable Thermostat, enables control of lights and select appliances through the Shell HomeGenie Power Switch, and permits monitoring of select areas in their homes through the Shell HomeGenie Wireless Camera that incorporates a motion sensor.

Shell HomeGenie can help its customers gain peace of mind by allowing them to stay connected to their homes while on the go. Shell HomeGenie will be available for purchase in early 2004 through the Shell HomeGenie Web site or soon to be announced commercial retail outlets.
