The Western Area Conference of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous is coming to San Diego, CA in 2003. The conference features a general service workshop, panel meetings, live bands, dances and games including a spades tournament and inflatable boxing. AA meetings will be run throughout the weekend. Alanon and Alateen meetings will also be held.

SAN DIEGO- The Western Area Conference of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous (WACYPAA) is coming to San Diego. The conference features a general service workshop, panel meetings, live bands, dances and games including a spades tournament and inflatable boxing. AA meetings will be run throughout the weekend.

The general service workshop features members of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) general service board, general service office and the Grapevine, the international journal of AA.

Panel meetings held throughout the weekend include AA in high school, AA in the workplace, Native American AA and gay and lesbian AA.

WACYPAA kicks off on Thursday November 27, 2003 and runs through Sunday November 30, 2003 at the Mission Valley Marriott. One-thousand people are expected to attend.

WACYPAA conferences are awarded to young peoples groups in Canada, Mexico and the western United States including Hawaii. AA conferences provide evidence that large numbers of sober alcoholics are achieving lasting sobriety. Conferences provide an environment for celebration of sobriety and the opportunity to meet AA members from across the United States.
