Mr. Weiss will be responsible for creating new strategic marketing opportunities for Palisades' clients, ranging from pure promotional platforms to such diverse areas as product placement. The appointment is effective immediately.

Mr. Weiss comes to Palisades Media Group with 12 years of experience leveraging multiple marketing channels. Most recently, as a marketing consultant he developed strategic partnership and promotional opportunities for entertainment and new media clients including Sony Pictures, DreamWorks and NeoPets. Previously, Mr. Weiss was Director of Marketing at Movielink, the video-on-demand distribution service formed as a joint venture between Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal Studios and Warner Bros. At Movielink, his responsibilities included spearheading and planning all new marketing activities and promotions. Mr. Weiss also developed and executed marketing and promotions strategies for WireBreak Entertainment, where he served as Director of Marketing and Business Development.
In addition, he served as Public Relations Supervisor for Buena Vista Home Entertainment, where he helped conceive and launch Miramax Café, the corporate Web site for Miramax Films, and pioneer the online chat craze with some of the earliest AOL chats. Further, his experience includes positions at Paramount Home Entertainment and Chiat/Day.
