Barbedwire Technologies, a Silicon Valley based high tech security products developer is expanding its Canadian presence by hiring a Country Manager to expand its sales Channel. John Herrington, based in Toronto, is a seasoned Executive with years of experience in building the reseller Channel for other high tech firms including Sonicwall, D-Link ,and Tech Data.

San Jose, CA, November 18, 2003 – Barbedwire Technologies, today announced the addition of John Herrington, as Canadian Country Manager. His breadth of experience leading teams for aggressive high growth technology firms in Canada is a perfect fit for Barbedwire. Mr. Herrington will quickly leverage his industry background to expand Barbedwires share of the important Canadian Security market.
Herrington, who will report directly to Barbedwire Technologies Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Steve Behrens, has more than 18 years of Canadian sales and management experience with several security and other technology companies. Before joining Barbedwire, Herrington was Country Manager, Canada at SonicWall, a manufacturer of security solutions. Prior to that, he was director of sales and marketing at D-Link Networks and a senior manager at Tech Data Canada.
