Tucson, Arizona, 2003. Sitting down to dinner on the 23rd of April, accompanied by two 80 year old friends visiting from Texas and another friend from Florida, Ms. Janik's evening was abruptly shattered by the intrusion of armed, flak jacketed policemen, accompanied by a contingency of City of Tucson "code officials." They demanded that she immediately leave the property. Headed by Rick Saldate and Cecilia Cruz, the armed guards had the property cleared of all 10 occupants within the hour. They told her she could not return... and to this day she is forced to reside elsewhere.
