Tarmin Solutions Has Created Next Generation Identity Solutions for Government and Enterprises Based on Keycorps MULTOS Smart Card Platform and Precise Biometrics Precise Match-on-Card Technology

Tarmin Solutions today announced that they have developed a new, highly secure identity management platform together with Keycorp and Precise Biometrics to facilitate the rapid design and deployment of identity-based smartcards. Codenamed VER (Latin for true), the platform, which is based on MULTOS secure, operating system, is slated for release in Q1 2004.

Tarmin Solutions today announced that they have developed a new, highly secure identity management platform together with Keycorp and Precise Biometrics to facilitate the rapid design and deployment of identity-based smartcards. Codenamed VER (Latin for true), the platform, which is based on MULTOS secure, operating system, is slated for release in Q1 2004.
   
Incorporating MULTOS advanced application security features with Tarmins award-winning Indus Intelligence Document Signing and Disk Encryption security platform, Keycorps ITSEC E6 High evaluated MULTOS smart card platform and PKI application, and Precise Biometrics BioMatch-M" on-card technology for on-card fingerprint matching, the news platform will multi-application card components to be easily integrated, to provide ease of use for the end user.

With Tarmins Indus Intelligence the MULTOS card will contain a PKI certificate which the card holder will use to authenticate, encrypt information, digitally sign documents such as e-mail, and establish secure Web sessions to access and update information via the Internet", said Time France-Massey, business development director, MAOSCO. These certificates were previously PIN protected, but Precise Biometrics BioMatch-M" technology allows the cardholder to be verified via on-card fingerprint matching. This solution adds a new level of assurance to identity in the virtual world."
