Feng Shui Used in Calling Meetings to Order is an Energy Enhancing Success
Del Mar, CAÂTo call the meeting to order, some board presidents slam gavels; others clink water glasses. At Cuvee Restaurant on Wednesday mornings, new president of the Carmel Valley Chapter of Business Network International (BNI), Cathryn Golden, delicately taps a Zenergy Chime that resonates a beautiful tone, which will vary in intensity and clarity depending on the energy levels in the room.
The Chime, recognized by BNI chapter members as the Âmeeting is called to order bell, is actually one that Golden specifically bought for use at the weekly meetings. As she Âchimes the meeting to order, she is Âtoning the room primarily to refocus and
re-energize it. In Feng Shui, sound makers such as chimes are also a traditional enhancement to call in positive ChÂi energy. This helps raise the level of effectiveness of an environment.
ÂWeÂve all become curious about the change in the ChimeÂs tone over the last few months since Cathryn started her leadership term. Many of us like to check in with her and ask Âso is it going to be a high energy morning?ÂÂ says Helene Schriber, Vice President of Carmel Valley BNI and travel consultant for K Travel.
ÂI enjoy using it as a way to easily read and balance my surroundings. When your ear becomes attuned, you can pick up the subtle nuances of a roomÂs energy, and then make minor Feng Shui adjustments if needed, says Golden. ÂI also like to think that this Âsurround-sound approach helps everyone redirect their attention to the activities of our morning meeting. And besides, I like coming up with unique ways of doing things.Â
