STARS SIGN GREEK ICON, TAP INDIA's AISHWARYA-RAI

UK Feature Film, Shooting Stars signs Greek Film Legend and make offer to Bollywood Star

Shooting Stars have signed The pic has signed a deal with a Greek film Legend whose identity shall be announced not at Stars BAFTA press Conference Nov 25th, but at a Press Conference in Athens held Dec 8th. who that is at a Press Conference held in Athens Dec 8th. In addition, Stars have invited Bollywood Actress, Aishwarya-Rai to play Indian screen legend 'Nagris', in the high budget feature film, concentrating on the Spy vs. Spy elements of the Cold War. The film features CGI of Top Film Icons from the 1950's merged with A list celebrities of today and is set in 1956. It was announced last week Stars had extended an offer to top liner, Jude Law.

Aishwarya is also appearing in 1987: The Uprising, Chaos, and Pride and Prejudice. There is also speculation about a role in the next Bond film.

Recently Prince Charles visited The Uprising Set and rolled first film for the pic.It was Aishwarya's involvement that attracted the Prince to the event.

'Rai has been touted for big upcoming roles and we wanted to make an offer before she became untouchable,' says producer, Mark Shady.

‘We always looked at this as a worldwide film …so we decided to apply that stream to the business approach and truly think global market , states Exec-Producer, Clark Westerman.

Stars will utilize Legends not only from Hollywood, India, and Greece, but also Icons from Japan. No details have been provided regarding Japan.


Not only does this maximize regional box office relevancy for Stars as a worldwide property, but is likely to attract the almighty brand sponsors that add enormous weight to pictures Promotional and advertising abilities. And distributors love this.

The attraction to Shooting Stars for most thespians is to have the experience of
working beside some of their hero/Icon predecessors.

Stars BAFTA Press Conference is confirmed for Tuesday, Nov 25th.

Stars is a 15MM Sterling feature, written by Clark Westerman (Producer/Screenwriter,
Red Light Runners-Harvey Keitel, Michael Madsen, Cillian Murphy, Crispin Glover and
Peter O'Toole), with the plot co-developed by Venetia Dimou.

Stars has already generated deep interest from Alcohol and mobile phone entities.A major London newspaper is presently negotiating locked promotion rights for a cd/dvd sampler giveaway estimated at 1MM sterling.

The offer to Rai was extended through her agents at the William Morris Agency.
