NEW SOUTHWEST PHOTOGRAPHY CALENDAR

Craig Varjabedian Photography announces a new calendar for 2004 titled Southwest Photographs. The calendar features new black and white images including Monument Valley at sunset, Anasazi Petroglyphs, ancient cliff dwellings and cowboy portraits – along with well known favourites such as White Sands National Monument and Sunset & Evening Storm, Canoncito at Apache Canyon.

The wall calendar of exceptionally reproduced photographs is 7 x 14 inches unfolded. The calendar is printed by Cottonwood Printing Company in Albuquerque. The retail price is $7.00 each. The calendar is available for purchase through select local retailers or the artists studio at (505) 983-2934.

Craig Varjabedian is a fine-art photographer of the lands and peoples of the American West and Southwest. He is also the director of the prestigious New Mexico Photography Field School (www.photofieldschool.com). His photographic work is included in the collections of the William Benton Museum of Art, the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center and Southern Methodist University, where an archive of his morada photographs has been established. He is the recipient of grants and awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Samuel H. Kress Foundation and many others. The late Beaumont Newhall, preeminent photographic historian, wrote The remarkable photographs by Craig Varjabedian are not only beautiful but also extremely valuable documents of architecture, culture, and lifestyle of Northern New Mexico."
