Siméus Foundation First Eyecare Mission A Success in Ponte-Sonde', Haiti

Through The Siméus Foundation, volunteer health professionals as well as ancillary staff helped treat several hundred patients and prescribed glasses during October 18-25, 2003 in Pont-Sonde Haiti.

The volunteer health professionals consisted of two optometrists, an ophthalmologist, a dentist, three physicians, and several nurses. The Siméus Foundation clinic is located 40 miles north of Haiti's capital Port-au-Prince. In Addition to the eye care services, dental and medical procedures were performed. The Siméus Foundation seeks medical volunteers throughout the year.
