The 27th Annual Alamo Heights Holiday Night Parade on Broadway brings changes of date and time to coincide with the lighting of the lights on Broadway and a special invitation to the University of the Incarnate Word.

A free family oriented event for people of all ages to enjoy on a Saturday to include a parade, candy, and entertainment as they watch the lighting of thousands of lights in the City of Alamo Heights located in San Antonio, Texas. Bring your camera and take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus and other costumes characters. This event is surely to be remembered for years to come as a cherished moment of family togetherness.

San Antonio, TX-----The Alamo Heights Chamber of Commerce cordially invites you to join them for their annual holiday parade now in its 27th year run. The parade is now longer as well as being a week prior to the usual after Thanksgiving Day date. Also new this year is that the event is at night to collaborate with the Lighting of The Lights on Broadway. Bring your fold up chair or just stand along the side walk as parade participants hand you candy as they pass by. The parade is brought to you by the AH Chamber with the support of community individuals, local organizations, small business owners, schools, and corporations that simply come together year after year to participate in this family oriented event. The parade has persisted beyond all odds over the years and is on record as the longest standing parade in the City of Alamo Heights. The special ceremony to kick off the parade at 6:45 pm begins with Alamo Heights Mayor Bob Biechlin flipping the switch to light the Broadway Holiday Lights. The parade then proceeds and ends at the Central Market parking lot with several performances, food, parade awards. Also after the parade everyone is invited to join the University of the Incarnate Word for their 18th Annual Light the Way ceremony at 7:30 pm with an evening filled with music, food and of course the lighting of over 850,000 Christmas Lights.

UIW ceremony at 7:30 pm

WHERE:
Parade starts at the Alamo Heights High School on Broadway & Fair Oaks proceeding down Broadway ending at the Central Market parking lot.
Fun continues at the University of the Incarnate Word McDermott Convocation Center
