Extending the Windows shell with 44 integrated, context-sensitive tools, this major ShellToys XP update adds seamless hotkey access and powerful new media-conversion features.

ESSEX, United Kingdom (PRWEB) November 19, 2003 -- CFi Software today announced the release of ShellToys XP 4.0, the unique suite of shell extensions for Microsoft Windows operating systems. ShellToys XP puts 44 powerful, context-sensitive tools at your fingertips when you right-click files, folders, or the desktop.

Building on the innovations of previous versions, ShellToys XP 4 adds new tools and features including: Quick conversion of selected images to a wide choice of formats; Conversion of audio files to MP3, WAV or Windows Media Audio format; Audio CD track extraction to WMA/MP3/WAV; Instant ZIP file creation from selected folders; and more.

Also new in this version is the option to assign hotkey combinations to ShellToys XP tools. From the desktop, a folder or Explorer window, or a file open/save dialog, users are now able to:

• Open any file in Notepad by pressing Ctrl+N
• Rename multiple files with Ctrl+R

• Renaming selected files using Replace/Prefix/Suffix options, or alphanumeric filename sequences
