Wall-Street.com (WSC) announces the current group of participants in the "Exceptional Companies" investor relations program which it sponsors. While many growth companies experienced a downturn in sales and earnings recently, companies passing these screens not only survived but continued to prosper. As a result of their participation in the program, these companies were included in the Wall-Street.com growth company listings that recently appeared in two of the nations major financial publications. Additionally, these companies are featured in the "Exceptional Companies" section of the Wall-Street.com Website (http://www.wall-street.com).
Nearly every actively traded company in America was screened to determine the companies invited to be included in WSCs Exceptional Companies" by-invitation-only investor relations opportunity. Qualified firms ranged in size from a few giants of corporate America to small, emerging companies. All traded on the NYSE, AMEX or NASDAQ exchanges. Stocks under $3 were eliminated. Companies passing the screens demonstrated consistency of growth. While many growth companies experienced a downturn in sales and earnings recently, companies passing these screens not only survived but continued to prosper. All showed growth in sales and/or earnings during the recent economic downturn. Some showed modest growth and many showed very substantial growth. Of the companies showing growth in sales, the median growth was 21.1%. Of those showing growth in earnings, the median growth was 23.1%. Only 15% of Americas public companies passed these tests and were eligible to appear.
