ACTORS FILM BASED ON BROTHERS DEATH IS GIVEN THUMBS UP BY MOTHER

Jeff Goldsteins newly formed film company JOEY VEGAS PRODUCTIONS, located in New York City will produce The Lilac Papers", as their debut project. This tragic but poignant story centers on the mother, wife, and sister of a man dying of cancer. Based partly on true events from the passing of Goldsteins younger brother in 2001, this story is becoming a huge source of support for others.

Jeff Goldsteins newly formed film company JOEY VEGAS PRODUCTIONS, located in New York City will produce The Lilac Papers", as their debut project; with his mother Arlene VanAmburgh from North Greenbush NY, giving the green light. This tragic but poignant story centers on the mother, wife, and sister of a man dying of cancer. Based partly on true events from the passing of Goldsteins younger brother in 2001, this story has become a huge source of support for others. I needed closure", said Goldstein as well as shouting to the world how did my mother do it?" This is the second son Mrs. VanAmburgh buried, the first in 1973 from Leukemia, as a single parent. I always wondered how my mother never turned to drugs or liquor." Goldstein reports. This film is meant to pay tribute to Mothers who have lost a child, and to inspire others". Im moved that my son wants to help others in similar situations" says Mrs. VanAmburgh.

Jeff Goldstein left his Marketing position at SYSCO Frosted Foods at the age of 40 to purse his dream of professional acting. Since 1996 when he began his quest, he is now a member of 3 Performing Arts Unions, and recently completed the film Death by Committee", where he stars opposite Tovah Feldshuh (Goldas Balcony" currently on Broadway).

Shooting is scheduled for mid November thru mid December, and will be available for circulation throughout various worldwide film festivals in March 2004. Two time Emmy winner Stephanie Braxton (Guiding Light, The Secret Storm) will portray the mother. Jeff Goldstein will play the narrator, with Sara Brians (Radio City Rockette, 42nd St.) as the sister and Stefanie Black (Williamstown Theatre Festival) as the wife. Director/Editor/Composer is Lertsiri Boonmee, and Simon Barber of London fame will Compose, Orchestrate, and Perform the Title song.
