Advancements in automated labor management
Datamatics Management Services, Inc. announces impressive enhancements to its premier labor management software solution - TC-1.
Datamatics, with over 3000 Labor Management Software users, announced impressive enhancements to TC-1 at their recent annual User Conference. The Hilton in Woodbridge, NJ, was where 89 companies participated in in-depth courses and learned about the latest advancements in labor law compliance. Our annual User Conference continues to be a tremendous benefit not only to our attendees but to us as well," said Norman Heinle, President of Datamatics. The direct feedback we receive each year influences our software development, the main reason our customers value our software."
Among enhancements announced at this years User Conference was a web-based TC-1 application and SQL database compatibility. While TC-1 remains available with Datamatics proprietary database, the software is also now available with an SQL database. Attendees were most impressed by the web-enabled TC-1 functionality. With an updated look and feel, the web portal allows users to access comprehensive functionality via the Internet and just their browser. This remote access capability provides the flexibility required by many organizations in todays business place.
Another well-received enhancement was the HTML-based online help for TC-1, which fosters implementation improvement as well as continual training. Designed to enhance the quality product support Datamatics is committed to providing, the new online help supplies both field-specific definitions and procedural instructions for typical tasks performed in TC-1. A section of the online help can be used as a refresher course on the basics of TC-1, while an FAQ section includes suggested solutions to frequently asked technical support questions. The browser-based interface offers extended Search and Index capabilities that not only help locate topics that contain a specific subject, but also let the user easily explore topics without losing sight of the entire list generated by a keyword search. Users also benefit from related topics links and the ability to bookmark a topic for fast and easy reference at a later time.
Attendees were also impressed with the new advanced user interface and report output configuration settings exhibited at the User Conference. Users can now format the look and feel of output files from any of TC-1s extensive reporting options. For example, fonts and column headings can be formatted for both aesthetic and readability purposes. Users can also customize the interface of their timesheet. They can select colors that are more appealing to them or meaningful to their job function.
In addition to taking courses and getting a first-hand look at latest enhancements, attendees of the annual TC-1 User Conference have the opportunity to discuss their individual labor management needs in an open forum and one-on-one setting, as well as learn from and network with other TC-1 users. Networking with other TC-1 users and exploring the software's breadth of usage are two main reasons for the repeated success of the program. All TC-1 users are encouraged to attend to help get the maximum benefit out of their TC-1 solution.
