ERIKA LEWIN OF GOLDSTEIN LEWIN & CO. IS SELECTED PERSON OF THE YEAR BY THE BOCA RATON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Young professional is more than just "the boss' daughter." She is making her own mark on the Boca Raton business community

As Chairperson of the highly successful 2003 Boca Festival Days, Ms. Lewin was instrumental in the success of this month-long series of 40 events that raised $200,000 for area nonprofit organizations. She was Co-Chairperson of the 2002 Boca Festival Days and has been an active participant in a variety of other Chamber activities including the Ambassadors Committee, the Successful Women in Business division, and Leads Group #2. She has also presented tax planning strategies to the Chambers Business Interest Groups.

According to Ms. Lewin, A large part of the explosive growth and prosperity of Boca Raton is attributable to the efforts of the Chamber and its members. As a businessman, Trustee member of the Chamber, and philanthropist, my father has helped this community grow and prosper. Now that I am also a member of the business community, I want to contribute in my own way to the success of this area and the future of everyone who lives and works here."

Among her other community activities, Ms. Lewin is Treasurer and Director for the Metabolic-Endocrine Education Foundation and volunteers for the Jewish Enrichment Center of Boca Raton, Habitat for Humanity and the George Snow Scholarship Foundation.

An accountant since 1999, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree with highest honors and a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Florida where she was designated Tax Student of the Year by her professors and peers.
