Peter Mayer Wraps Up Stars and Promises Alive" Christmas Tour in Nashville at Blair School of Music's Ingram Hall
Holiday Concert For Families Includes Traditional and Original Christmas Music
(Nashville, TN) Coral Reefer Band guitarist and Nashville resident Peter Mayer performs on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at Ingram Hall located at the Blair School of Music on the Vanderbilt University Campus.
The concert of traditional and original Christmas music by Mayer begins at 7:00 p.m. with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults (age 16 and over), $12 for students and may be purchased by calling (877) LIT-FLOK or (877) 548-3565. Mayer is encouraging families to attend by offering free admittance for children with the purchase of two adult tickets.
Mayer along with his brother Jim, as a seven--piece ensemble of musicians and string players, are taking the message and songs of Stars and Promises Alive across America with 16 performances in fifteen cities. The tour wraps up with their Nashville performance at Vanderbilt Universitys Ingram Hall on December 20, 2003.
Joining Peter and Jim Mayer on the Ingram Hall stage are fellow Peter Mayer Group musicians, Roger Guth on drums, R Scott Bryan on back up vocals and percussion from around the world and Vince Varvel on guitar. Also contributing, Ron Vince as first violinist, Mark Holland with his Native American flutes, whistle and concert flute.
Mayer, a member of Jimmy Buffetts Coral Reefer Band, has released 6 solo CDs, including an original collection of songs of faith titled Stirrin Up the Water, Stars and Promises Alive (recorded at Blair School of Musics Ingram Hall in 2002) and the original Christmas Collection, Stars and Promises. His newest CD, Music Box, is scheduled for release later this year.
