GLOBAL ARMCHAIR" INCORPORATION NO PASSING FAD

The Rise of the World Wide Company Incorporation Centre

A growing number of companies in the UK are incorporating in overseas jurisdictions -- and they are doing it more speedily, more cost effectively and with greater choice than ever before.

The provision of company incorporation services is made easy by using new online company incorporation systems.

Julie Rosenthal, Managing Director of Electronic Financial Services Limited (EFS), believes the growth in the market is being driven by the rapid development of highly sophisticated technology.

This new technology is allowing companies to incorporate and put trading structures in place anywhere in the world -- literally from the comfort of their office," says Rosenthal.

She adds: For any type of company incorporation service it is no longer necessary to wait for weeks to complete incorporations in Europe, America, Asia or any offshore jurisdiction and pay extortionate fees."

With representation in more than 70 onshore and offshore jurisdictions, London-based EFS are becoming known as the world wide company incorporation centre".

Such undertakings provide company formation services using traditional methods as well as online technology.

Adds Rosenthal: More and more British companies are interested in incorporating all type of legal entities ranging from Limited Liability Companies in Europe, International Business Incorporations (IBC) in Asia, and offshore companies in the United States, or other popular offshore jurisdictions."

Formation services range from customised incorporation, express incorporation and fast track incorporation with the types of company incorporations encompassing Limited Liability Company (LLC), Limited Liability Corporation (LLC), SA, AGs, GmbHs, LLPs

Every other day another country is being added with the assurance of eventual roll-out to allow online incorporation services globally," says Rosenthal.

However, she sounds a note of caution to companies wanting to take advantage of such services.

First, they should see how wide the footprint of the services is.

Second, carefully examine the costs involved and compare all-in" figures rather than accepting catch figures with hidden extra costs.

Finally, and probably most importantly," she warns, "companies should ask very serious questions about the type of on-the-ground support that would be available to them."
