Penguin Cottage invites you to join us and First Book Northern Virginia in helping First Book bring new books to children from low income families in the Northern Virginia area and nationwide.

First Book Northern Virginia is part of First Book(www.firstbook.org), a national non-profit organization that brings brand new books to children from low-income families. Many of these children have never owned a single book of their own, let alone a new book. In the past two years, First Book has provided close to 15 million new books to children in hundreds of communities nationwide who, for economic reasons, have little or no access to books.
