The idea for Sex-Writer.com was conceived by Colorado-based writer, Katy Terrega.
Ive been planning the site for about a year now;" says Terrega, actively putting the pages together, contacting the markets and setting up the logistics of a member site." Thats been no easy task, given the amount of information in Sex-Writer.com. Im really trying to make the site all inclusive," she says, by running many different kinds of listings; from anthologies to print magazines to internet markets and everything in between. That way writers of differing levels of expertise and/or areas of interest will be able to get what they need."
Terrega is no newcomer to the sex-writing genre; she earns her living writing about sex and has spent the last four years teaching others how to do so in her book, Its A Dirty Job...Writing Porn For Fun And Profit (Deep South Publishing,) its spin-off newsletter, Writing Porn For Fun and Profit (which has over 1,300 subscribers) and in her bi-weekly column, Porn 101, at AbsoluteWrite.com. In addition, she has almost 400 published credits in Writers Digest, Gallery, Penthouse Variations, Swank, Genesis, Playgirl and dozens more. A foremost authority on sex-writing, she is also featured in the 2004 edition of Writers Market.
