New website teaches A-76 federal employees about entrepreneurship
This new website was the brainchild of a "federal entrepreneur" who found a solution for employees affected by A-76.
Fedpreneur.com was developed to educate federal employees about entrepreneurship. With the current trend towards competing federal jobs, Fedpreneur.com is a membership site designed to equip the federal employee for small business ownership.
"The point is to provide employees affected by the A-76 process with a viable option. Entrepreneurship could be that option for them," says Karen Hardy, creator of the site.
For a nominal monthly fee, federal employees can participate in online chats, research small business data, and even apply for very small business loans. "The site provides a community for people going through the same transition," says Hardy. "It's a very good support system." The good news is, you don't have to be affected by A-76 to join. Any federal, state or public government employee can become a member.
Currently, the site is providing a waiting list for those interested in joining. Once the site is completed, registered employees will be the first notified.
"If I were affected by A-76, I would be the first to sign up on the waiting list," says Hardy. Something like this cannot wait."
