Child & Family Rights Advocate, Educational Consultant & Family Mentor Offers Services
Coeur dAlene, Idaho-November 20, 2003-Before a family invests money and time with an adolescent who is experiencing an eating disorder, intolerance, learning disorder, running away, school failure, self-mutilation, substance abuse, vandalism, or violence, check with expert independent educational consultant and child and family right's advocate Dore E. Frances, IEC.
Whether your child is 6 or 26, Ms. Frances can not only tell you what program or school may be needed to assist them, or how to start the IEP process and advocate for your child, but also how to best structure your family during this crisis, based on a detailed child and family evaluation and review. No newcomer to children with learning disabilities, troubled adolescents and young adults with alcohol and drug addictions, Ms. Frances has 11 years of experience.
One-on-one, via telephone or by attending one of her seminars or workshops, Ms. Frances can significantly save you hours of frustrating searching and thousands of dollars by preventing you from making an incorrect decision about what your child and family needs. She is prepared to step in at the last minute when what you are trying is no longer working and you are about ready to give up all together.
Availability and rapid response make this service unique. According to Ms. Frances, The question I get asked the most often is, 'Who do we trust?" My goal is to sort out the potential bad outcomes due to misinformation about the type of care the child may need. The question of who they can trust involves the secure information I can provide based on my asking the same questions of programs and schools that I network with each day. When I can offer that comfort of knowing that I too look to network with trustworthy programs and schools, it can save a family from mental anguish and ill-advised pursuits of choosing a program or school that will not meet the needs of their child." Ms. Frances had her own column called Teen View in the Family Monthly in Salinas, California, was the Teen Advice Columnist in the Pacific Grove Weekly in Pacific Grove, California has written numerous published articles for both online and in print newspapers, is currently working on a book about abused children, conducts seminars and workshops on IEPs, as well as on family communication and personal growth, has been involved in family mentoring for 10 years, and volunteered with the Hospice as a Grief Counselor for adults and children for 9 years. Ms. Frances was invited to do the full training of all staff for www.Caring4Youth.org prior to its opening for business in August of this year and remains as their Educational Consultant advisor.
Accessibility is an important and unique aspect of Ms. Frances services. Her expertise is available at any time. She works on a fee paid basis for the family only and does not represent a particular program, school or treatment provider. Your initial telephone consultation is free.
