NYC Band Red Jacket Advances to the Finals of Hard Rock Cafés Battle of the Bands"

The NYC band Red Jacket has won the first round of Hard Rock Café New Yorks Ultimate Altitude Buzz-Battle of the Bands". Red Jacket will compete in the final performance round on Wednesday December 3rd starting at 10 PM.

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 25, 2003 --The NYC band Red Jacket has won the first round of Hard Rock Café New Yorks Ultimate Altitude Buzz-Battle of the Bands". Red Jacket will compete in the final performance round against two other bands on Wednesday December 3rd starting at 10 PM. Audience vote and a panel of music industry judges determine the winning band.

Red Jacket delivers a montage of alt-rock infused with dissonant notes and clever time changes over pop melodies. Red Jacket performed a blistering set during round one of the Battle of the Bands". Highlights included Lisa Bianco (lead singer/guitarist) performing a feedback-drenched solo with her teeth and Holly Rock (drums) switching to an African Djembe drum and percussion ensemble (named Frankenstein) for an acoustic rendition of the song Hunted Rebirth." The band plans to perform another eclectic set for the December 3rd performance.

The winning band of the New York finals will then compete against the winners of nine other Hard Rock Café competitions across the United States through online voting. The winning band of the national Buzz Battle" wins a trip to Steamboat, Colorado to be the opening act for the rock band Simple Plan.
