SQUIBY Announces Three New Websites
SQUIBY Omnimedia introduced three new websites today: SQUIBY, The Museum of Web History (MoWH), and Webrity. Each has been in beta since early fall. Each showcases SQUIBY's distinctive design attitudes and approaches.
* SQUIBY (PRWEB) November 26, 2003 -ee"), Where Circles Intersect, is the ultimate social-networking, contact-management and community-building tool, connecting people with not just their inner-circle of relatives, friends, business associates, pets, teachers, service-providers and loved ones, but also their local communities. "People are using SQUIBY (our flagship site) to sell their house, to make dates, to recommend their doctors, to meet activity partners, to publicize local events, to show-off their pets or to find a baby-sitter," said Michael Fountain, founder of SQUIBY Omnimedia . "Members can surf their circles of relationships or meet people who don't want to limit their interaction to just their inner network. SQUIBY is easy-to-use, flexible and fun." Users also have the ability to add people "in memory" to their circle, allowing SQUIBY to capture a unique human historical narrative.
| | - The Museum of Web History (http://www.mowh.com) is a cyber-museum capturing the evolving history of the Internet. The museum includes existing websites as well as those that are defunct. "I thought it was important to document the Internet's evolution: capturing site logos, company graphics and website screen captures, as well as personal narratives," said Fountain. "For example, it is important to remember sites like kozmo.com and what it looked like and all the contributions of the people who made it. Those electronic artifacts are relevant and important."
|
| | - Webrity (http://www.webrity.com) is an web-enabled audition stage where entertainers, performers, actors, dancers, comedians, singers, models, reality-star wannabes and musicians can get in front of web-surfers and have their talent seen and judged by a world audience. There are currently over 500 aspiring actors, models, singers and dancers on the site. Webrity is a great platform for artists to freely promote their talent and for entertainment-lovers to find and create the next big star.

"We are extremely excited to introduce these three sites," said Fountain. "Their launch distinguishes SQUIBY Omnimedia as one of the industry's up-and-coming Internet production houses."
