E. John Gavras Center, formerly the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Cayuga County, provides early intervention and preschool program, preschool services, therapy services, Medicaid service coordination, day habilitation, residential habilitation and Success by 6 initiatives to special needs residents in Cayuga, Seneca, Wayne, Onondaga and Tompkins Counties. The Center provides psychology, special education, speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical, habilitation and parent and family support services to those with special needs in the area.

As an Audit Supervisor at Fagliarone Group CPAs, Murdick is responsible for auditing and the preparation of financial statements for nonprofit and municipal clients. A resident of Auburn, Murdick also volunteers with the Mottville Fire Department, TomatoFest and St. Andrew's United Methodist Church. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego.
