Ronald T. Y. Moon, D.O. has achieved his certification in the Evaluation of Disability and Impairment Rating by the American Academy of Disability evaluating Physicians.
This certification was earned by successfully passing an exam dealing with specialized issues of Disability and Impairment. This certification is the first and only of its kind.
Dr. Moon is the founder and medical director of The Industrial Athlete. With over 15 years experience in Medical diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders he brings a holistic approach to prevention, functional restoration and enhancement of the quality of life for all patients. As a fellow of the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians, Dr. Moon is uniquely qualified in disability medicine and in managing complex Musculoskeletal disorders. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation, and the American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Moon received his medical degree with honors from the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth and did his residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
Continuing Medical Education (CME) is the primary mission of the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians. Certification by the Academy is the next step in its quest for excellence for its Fellows, members, and other healthcare professionals. In its nearly two decades of developing educational activities, this Chicago-based Academy has taught almost 20,000 medical professionals and received consistent faculty ratings of 4.5 on a 5.0 scale for five successive years. The core volunteer faculty members are all full-time practioners in disability evaluation and management, concentrating their practices in assessing impairment and disability.
