Following the success of UCON=2000 and ENCON 2001 organised earlier, Confederation of Indian Industry, Pune is pleased to announce yet another Energy Show ENCON 2003 the Flagship event of CII Pune.

The Conference
The event includes a two day National Conference on Energy Management to be organised on 5 & 6 December. The conference includes a well structured programme with sessions on Energy efficient pumps, Energy efficiency in compressed air systems, Water management, Energy efficient lighting, Energy efficient motors, Harmonics suppression, Waste Heat Recovery System, Steam Distribution, achieving world class energy consumption norms, Wind Energy --Overview & Policy initiatives by the Government of Maharashtra, Case study on Wind Energy - Manufacturers perspective and user perspective etc. As a part of the conference a factory visit is being proposed for conference delegates to Forbes Marshall Ltd and Bharat Forge Ltd.

Shri R V Shahi, Secretary (Power), Government of India has kindly agreed to deliver the Inaugural Address and Mr Suhas P Sukhatme, Chairman Atomic Energy Regulatory Board will give the Keynote Address at the conference and also inaugurate the Exhibition.

The TATA Power Co Ltd, Wartsila India Ltd, Godrej & Boyce Mfg Co Ltd, Philips India Ltd, Kirloskar Brothers Ltd, Forbes Marshall Ltd, Colour Chem Ltd, Maharashtra Energy Development Agency etc are some of the organisations making presentations at the conference.

The Workshop
A unique half-day workshop on 'Developing an Energy Plan for your company is an added attraction of the programme. This will enable delegates to conceive and carry out energy efficiency upgradation activities in their own industries. The workshop will not only enable individuals to draw a comprehensive energy plan but also provide take-away for tips on 'Monday morning implementation.

The Exhibition
The three day exhibition being organised at Sakhar Sankul (Office of the Sugar Commissioner), behind Agriculture College, Shivaji Nagar, Pune 411 005 from 5- 7 December 2003 will be an ideal platform for players in the field on efficient energy management to market their products and expertise. It would feature a technology display with the latest instruments, equipment and devices related to efficient energy management.

The scope of the exhibition covers entire gamut related to energy management from Steam, electricity, compressed air, gases, water, refrigeration & chillers to Non conventional energy and environment.
