MISSISSIPPI POLITICIANS VOTE YES" FOR LUDACRIS

Mayor of Canton and Jackson, MS City Councilman Awards Ludacris with Proclamations to Their Cities for His Success and Work In The Community at the Capital City Takeover Concert

Canton, MS; November 24, 2003) Grammy nominated rapper/actor Ludacris was awarded with Proclamations by two city officials in Mississippi while on stage at his November 22, 2003 headlining Capital City Takeover concert produced by IMC, Inc. in Canton, MS.

Canton Mayor Fred Esco, Jr. and Jackson City Councilman Kenneth Stokes awarded the famed
Chicken-N-Beer" star with Proclamations to Canton and to the capital city of Jackson for his philanthropic work, album successes and for bringing what they call the biggest concert in the region in a decade."

As community leaders, government officials and influencers of the media, we must find ways to continue to build up successful young people who make sincere efforts to give back to the community rather than tear them down," says Canton City Mayor Fred Esco, Jr. As a result of his recording career success and his continual community work with the Ludacris Foundation, I proudly award Ludacris with a Proclamation to the City of Canton," announced Esco.

Ludacris has brought what many in the past have not been able to — a safe and positive event
to this region of Mississippi," says Jackson City Councilman Kenneth Stokes. The safe and enjoyable time had by all tonight is truly a reflection of the person that Ludacris is," he said.

The Capital City Takeover concert produced by Jackson, MS based concert promotions company
IMC, Inc. brought attendees from Mississippi and surrounding states together to enjoy performances by Ludacris, Shawnna, Disturbing Tha Peace, DTP newcomer Chingy and several local opening acts such as Kamikaze, Cool Rahim and regional rock sensation Small Room 9.
