Telops increases its presence in Taiwan via its partnership with Semiconductor Supply Inc.

New Taiwan business opportunities for Telops

Quebec, Canada November 28 2003 -- Telops, a company specializing in the design and manufacture of optronic test systems, is proud to announce the signing of a distribution agreement with an important partner: Semiconductor Supply Inc. (SSI). This will mean an increased corporate presence for Telops in Taiwan.

Since 1992, the name SSI stands for high quality, high performance and advanced testing equipments and environmental chambers in the semiconductor and optronic field. Today, SSI is one of the most renowned representative of systems for assembly, burn-in, life testing and environmental simulation, with assets of 2 million US dollars. Telops is thus collaborating with a partner having a vast know-how of burn-in, life testing, environmental simulation and heat technology business sectors. Telops president, Jean Giroux, emphasizes that SSI being the leading distributor of his kind in Taiwan, will provide new business opportunities for Telops. This is a partnership that is extremely promising, given that our companies both deliver innovative solutions for the manufacturing needs of our customers."

The agreement, formally signed on October 20, 2003, will lead to the promotion of Telops and the development of its business relationships and service in Taiwan.

For its part, SSI will benefit from Telops expertise in the areas of photonics components testing, burn-in, and characterization. Telops test and measurement products are designed to enhance device qualification and to simplify quality control. In these test equipment, the components are subjected to accurately controlled test conditions and are characterized using a series of optical, electrical and thermal measurements. M.H. Tsui, President at SSI, sees this agreement as a chance to expand its knowledge base in opto-electronics and create a new area of business".
