Hunt for Weapons of Mass Destruction, Win an iPod

The Hunt for Weapons of Mass Destruction ( http://www.bitesizeinc.net/index.php/hunt.html ) is an online Scavenger Hunt, open to everybody, that begins on December 20th, marking the 9 month anniversary of the start of the United States campaign against Iraq.

    Tacoma, WA - November 28th : Over a year since the UN weapons inspectors enter Iraq and 9 months after the US begins a full assault, Bite Size Inc (http://www.bitesizeinc.net/) brings the search for Weapons of Mass Destruction to the internet with an online scavenger hunt that begins on December 20th (http://www.bitesizeinc.net/index.php/hunt.html). Grand prize for the first person to complete the scavenger hunt is an iPod, the new portable MP3 player by Apple.

    On December 20th, participants will be presented with a list of clues and website addresses; they will race to find all of the images. The first 10 players to complete the scavenger hunt will win prizes. This is the first scavenger hunt hosted by Bite Size Inc., who plans on running monthly hunts for prizes.

    "Finding WMD can be tricky. Hans Blix, the UN, and the US government can't find them. I don't know where they are. When I search the internet for 'Weapons of Mass Destruction', even Google gives me an error page. This is a problem that needs to be solved." says Chris Todd, Vice President of Bite Size Inc., "What better way to solve a problem than to play a game that pokes fun at it ?"

November 18th, 2002 - Tipped off by US intelligence, UN weapons inspectors enter Iraq in a search for weapons of mass destruction. They spend 60 days conducting searches and interviews, but are unable to find any signs of chemical, nuclear, or biological weapons.

February 12th, 2003 - Anthony Cox tells a joke ( http://www.coxar.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ ) that receives national publicity. He creates an error page, based on the Internet Explorer "The page cannot be displayed" error screen, titled "These Weapons of Mass Destruction cannot be displayed". The page recieves millions of visits in months, and rises to the top of the Google search results for the search term "Weapons of Mass Destruction".

March 20th, 2003 - The United States begins a campaign to change the regime in Iraq due to the percieved risk of weapons of mass destruction. 9 months later no weapons of mass destruction have been recovered.

November 28th, 2003 - Bite Size Inc, in a desperate attempt to find somebody that can locate any WMD, announces an online scavenger hunt for weapons of mass destruction.
