Women Have Choices Other Than Corporate Track, Mommy Track

Entrepreneurs Grand Opening Heralds Trend Towards Planning for Motherhood.

Upper Marlboro, MD (PRWEB) December 1, 2003 -- Women have increasingly become disillusioned by the Womens Lib mantra that women can achieve success on the same terms as men: job title, income, prestige. Twenty-First Century women can attain the same level of success as men with one exception: having children unbalances the scales. Either childrearing must be outsourced or education and job experience must go to waste in exchange for spit up, dirty diapers, and play dates.

Convinced that there had to be other options, Kimberly Bonnette, began incorporating her goals for motherhood into her career plans before she even walked down the aisle in 2002. With a BS in Computer Science from UMBC (University of Maryland Baltimore County), an MS in Computer Science from MIT, and an MA in Public Policy from Regent University in the works, Bonnette said, I wanted to advance professionally and enhance my skill set, but I also wanted the flexibility of being able to spend more than six weeks at home with my child after giving birth."

In a step towards realizing her goals, Bonnette has announced the grand opening of KGB Media Consulting, a small, minority, woman owned business headquartered in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. KGB specializes in providing customized marketing and branding solutions at reasonable prices to both the public and private sectors. Its core areas of business include:
·   Web design, development, and hosting
·   Business card, letterhead, form, and newsletter design
·   Technical writing and editing services.

Bonnette, a member of both the Web Design and Developers Association (WDDA) and the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC), said, Consultants should be a natural extension of your organization. They handle the details so you can focus on getting down to business." Bonnette shows that with a vision, planning, and hard work, women can create balanced lives that are successful both at home and at work without sacrificing either.
