Zycko enters South African market with latest acquisition

(PRWEB) December 1, 2003 --Zycko, the Worlds largest Distributor of Networking and Storage Accessories specialising in third party components for Cisco, Nortel, Extreme, HP and Sun, today announces the acquisition of South African distributor, Glue Networks.

Glue Networks, to be renamed Zycko South Africa (Pty) Ltd. in December, was established just over a year ago as the first independent distributor of third party, vendor compatible network accessories in the region. Access to Zyckos resources will allow the company to increase local stock levels while permitting it to offer increasingly competitive pricing in the region. The agreement will also allow Zycko South Africa access to a major Authorised Distribution contract with Agilent Technologies.

Zycko South Africa and its resellers will be able to draw upon Zycko Groups support with their 'Reseller Asset Recovery Programme. The programme is the only one of its kind that provides a quick and seamless service to accurately value and determine the most appropriate package for resellers so they can help their customers raise cash for their unwanted Networking equipment. Through Zycko, resellers will be provided with a free equipment appraisal service based on extensive knowledge of the product and analysis of both future and historic trends.
