songwriter/guitar player has been taking audiences by storm!

Produced by the Philosopher Kings Jon "Rabbi" Levine (Nelly Furtado/In Essence), Anjulie's sound blends classic rock with sexy guitar driven grooves into a unique modern sound which is both danceable and rocked out!

Her songwriting is raw and emotive, and her onstage persona has been compared to rock legends like Tina Turner and Mick Jagger.

Sweetland's music is filled with a wide range of musical rock and roll diversity. Their sound is a mix of hard rock, folk, pop, and alternative rock. Formed by Mike Cook in the early 90's, Sweetland has been writing and performing music for some time now, which has given the band time to grow and develop as artists. Through numerous lineup changes, lead singer Mike Cook and bass player Todd Jodoin kept the band going. With the addition of Michael Hope, lead guitarist in 2002, and Neil Grandy, drummer in 2003, the lineup was set and the band worked hard, recording their first self-produced EP. 'Crazy' the first single from their self titled EP received radio air play on 106.9 The Bear FM in summer of 2003.

The band performs around the Ottawa area and has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with such acts as Tammy Raybould, Jacob Two-Two, Hotel, Thermocline, Nectar, Fly Project, Charlie Beck, Little Bones and Stefani Jaxsn. Sweetland has also been involved in charitable performances at the CHEO BBQ 2003, JYF 2003 and Animal Noises(I) 2003. The band is currently gearing up to start recording their follow up full length album to be available spring 2004.
