Pixarra releases version 2.6 of the easy to use electronic sketchbook software with the addition of wild brush effects.

Pixarra Sketchbook since it's inception has included traditional artist tools, such as oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, airbrushes, pencils, charcoal, pens, chalk, markers and oil pastels. Under the covers is a high performance 64 bit brush engine that achieves smooth blends and responsive brush strokes. With this release Pixarra Sketchbook now enhances the traditional tools with a brush effects system that includes over 80 effects such as jitter, spiral, waves, mirror, 3d, textures, highlighting, color adjustments etc. These effects can be layered 8 deep and varied with time based envelopes normally seen in audio synthesis. Since Pixarra Sketchbook is designed for ease of use the effects system is normally hidden from view and is presented to the user with preset brushes. Also included in this release is the random brush generator. This gives the ability to generate and unlimited number of unique wild brushes with the press of a single key.
