ITIL, COBIT, CMM-I, Balanced Scorecard, ISO 9000: Putting them all Together
Come and learn from distinguished experts about the relationship between the newest trends in best practices, controls, and measurements for Information Technology delivery
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) December 2, 2003 -- On December 11th, 2003 at 5:30 PM, the National Capital Area Local Interest Group of the IT Service Management Forum USA (itSMF) is hosting an informative presentation at the University of Maryland by Mr. Dave Pultorak and Mr. Keith Carter.
ROI is important to government agencies, companies, and non-profit organizations and they are increasingly being held accountable for best practices and providing best value". However, a challenge that many CIOs, CEOs, Agency Directors, and IT professionals face is rationalizing and integrating the alphabet soup of techniques and standards applicable to the technology organization.
How do all of these disparate approaches relate to each other? How does an organization make use of these different frameworks in pursuit of world-class capability? How does an IT professional use the methodologies to provide leadership within his/her organization?
At the December 11th itSMF meeting, two renowned speakers will review many of the frameworks used around the world for managing, measuring, and improving the delivery of information technology services. They will compare and contrast the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) with these other process frameworks and methodologies that are mandated or adopted in many government and commercial entities. Topics will include Capability Maturity Model (CMM-I), Balanced Scorecards, ISO 9000, COBIT, eTOM, Six Sigma. They will also touch on other leading proprietary frameworks such as HPs ITSM and Microsofts MOF. Ample time will be left to address questions from the audience.
