Historic Boulder Dam Hotel Turns 70

Saturday, December 13 from noon until 4 p.m. the Boulder Dam Hotel Association and the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce will host a 70th Anniversary Celebration with an Hawaiian theme.
There will be Hawaiian arts, crafts, leis, Aloha ware and a great deal more. At 1 p.m. Hawaiian dancers Halau Keiki O Mokiao will perform, followed by the Hilo Hattie Aloha ware Fashion Show at 2 p.m. At 2:45 p.m. the Hawaiian Trio Naupaka will provide the entertainment. Orchids will fall from a helicopter and shower the Hotel at 3:00. A Birthday Salute and grand prize drawing for a trip to Hawaii will round out the activities at 3:30 p.m.

The grand prize Hawaii Trip from Jackies Tours includes roundtrip airfare for two and five nights at the luxurious Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa. Tickets for the prize can be purchased at the Boulder Dam Hotel and proceeds will benefit the Boulder Dam Hotel Association Inc., a non-profit organization.
Throughout the festivities, the restaurant and shops in the hotel will provide discounts and gifts. The Boulder City/Hoover Dam Museum will offer $1 admission. Matteos Restaurant will provide a 15% discount on food (excludes alcohol) and will feature a Mai-tai fountain in the Underground Lounge. The Elephants are Forever Shop will offer a 10% discount on items and the Boulder City Art Guild Gallery will give guests a free Christmas Bookmark.

To recognize the 70th Anniversary, the Boulder Dam Hotel will offer a $70 room rate every Sunday through Thursday night through December 30 (includes breakfast, excludes suites).
