Escape Media Publishers introduces The Ox Barn: Bringing Authors and Readers Together

Escape Media Publishers, a small press dedicated to providing thought-provoking literary fiction and non-fiction titles to discerning readers, is proud to introduce The Ox Barn Chat Room, its aim to unite authors and readers through the world of telephony, using e-mail and chat rooms.

Escape Media Publishers is a small press publisher located in Denver, Colorado dedicated to providing thought-provoking literary fiction and non-fiction titles to discerning readers.

Escape Media and its authors strongly believe in author/reader interaction. Since our authors are based all around the world—-from India to Canada, from Greece to Hawaii—-and since our readers reside all across North America and beyond, the standard author/reader interaction—-a bookstore author signing, for example—-proves all but impossible.

Thus, on our web site, (http://www.escapemediapublishers.com/) we have built the Ox Barn, its aim to unite authors and readers through the world of telephony. Through e-mail and the Ox Barn chat room, we aim to bring individuals and book club members together with our authors to discuss any or all of our authors’ books. Individuals and book clubs already participating in the Ox Barn offer their comments, questions, and even criticisms to our authors; in return, our authors provide thoughtful answers and insightful information about his or her book to each reader.

Below are answers to commonly asked questions about the Ox Barn.

How can my book club participate in The Ox Barn?

It's simple. All you need is a copy of the book, Internet access, and your questions, comments, and criticisms available for the author.

What are some of the advantages of participating in The Ox Barn?

First of all, it's free. Secondly, your book club can easily interact with the author through e-mail and The Ox Barn chat room. Thirdly—-and perhaps the most essential—-author/reader interaction is important.

Do I have to be a member of a book club to participate in The Ox Barn?

Certainly not. Everyone is welcome.
