A 90 minute documentary telling the story of Dietrich Bonhoeffer a your Protestant German Theologian who offered one of the first clear voices of resistanhce to Adolph Hitler. This film won the 2003 Best Documentary award at the Rhdse Island Film Festival. Showing January 11 at 7:30 PM.
The 90 Minute award winning documentary, "Bonhoeffer" will have its Boca Raton, Florida premier at Congregation B'nai Israel, 2200 Yamato Road in Boca Raton Florida at 7:30 PM on Sunday January 11th. Donation is $12.00 for adults and $6.00 for children. There will be a discussion of the film led by its Producer and Director, Martin Doblmeier. The film tells the story of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a Protestant German theologian, who offered ne of the first clear voices of resistance to Adolph Hitler. Bonhoeffer openly challenged his church to stand with the Jews in their time of need, and eventually joined his family in the plots to kill Hitler. Just before the war ended, Bonhoeffer was hanged by the German's. The film is presented as part of Congregation B'nai Israels 20th Anniversary celebration.
