The 10th Anniversary Golden Image Awards Annual Pageant Honors and Celebrates Senior Women

WHO: Ophelia DeVore (Pioneer Architect of Positive Imagery, Founder of the Ophelia DeVore Organization and recipient of the 2003 Golden Image Awards Lifetime Achievement Award), Jeff Burns (Associate Publisher, Senior Vice-President, Ebony Magazine), Joe Franklin (Legendary radio and television personality), Mildred Lewis Staton (founder of The Rockaway Revue), Naomi Kolstein (Founder and President of The Kolstein Talent Agency), Payne (comedian, actress), Nan Puryear (Executive VP of Exquisite Apparel Corp.) WHY:    For the People Productions (FTP), the executive producer of GIA is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Golden Image Awards, an annual senior pageant that was created by FTPs CEO Marilyn Artis. GIAs mission is to affirm the inner beauty, poise and grace of women over 60 and to redefine the perception and role of senior women of all cultures in America. Artis states; We want to show there is Gold in the Golden Years and these women wear their age like a crown". The oldest contestant this year is 91 years young. The senior pageant is judged by a panel of celebrity judges.

The pageant will be hosted by PAYNE, an entertainer, a model and an advocate for humanity; Payne has appeared in situation comedies such as My Wife and Kids" ABC-TV, In the House", The Jamie Foxx Show" and is a sought after stand up comic on the LA Comedy circuit. Payne is a model for the Will Power Modeling Agency and spokesperson for Recycling Inspiration, (a national movement that re-celebrates achievements to inspire dreams).
