Santa Will be Online at ClubDeaf.com to Sign with Your Deaf, Hard of Hearing or KODA Children
Santa knows Sign Language and the Internet! He'll be online to take your childrens' wish lists in sign language via webcam.
The North Pole, -- December 4, 2003 -- Santa Claus announced today that he will be available to talk to your deaf, hard of hearing or KODA children in American Sign Language over the Internet. Santa will be connecting via a special Internet connection directly from the North Pole.
Its a very busy time for me, but I want to make sure I have every childs wish list before I make my trip around the world on Christmas," said Santa. Sometimes parents get busy and dont have time to drive all the way to see me, so it makes it easier on mom and dad if Im online and talking to the children in Sign Language via web cam."
It wont cost parents anything to connect to me," Santa continued, My friends at ClubDeaf.com have agreed to continue to offer their services free of charge through the end of the year so kids can sign with Santa (with their parents supervision)."
Santa will be available on December 9th, 11th, 16th and 18th from 4-8pm PST and again on December 13th and 20th from 10am-3pm PST. Sign language users with a PC, a high-speed Internet service (such as DSL or cable modem), and a web camera can use ClubDeaf.com to connect to Santa. Upon signing up for the service, an automatic download of the software will take place and the user is ready to go. Santa will automatically be added to everyones ClubDeaf.com buddy list. Santa plans to be very busy talking to children via web cam, so parents should email Santa as quickly as possible to reserve a time to connect to him. Santas email is santa@clubdeaf.com.
All the children should have their wish lists ready," Santa added, But dont forget, I still have my list and Ill be checking it twice to find out whos been naughty or nice!"
