As one of three solutions selected from a field of hundreds of submissions worldwide, Alphalogix has been recognized for Best Portal Solution. This is awarded to a solution that leverages collaborative components within a portal application to create a dynamic intranet or extranet workplace. The nomination is a result of their work with 20th Century Fox Film Corporation for the creation, deployment, and outsourcing of a new corporate portal system utilizing IBM Websphere Portal Server Technology.

The Alphalogix Workcenter(TM) Enterprise Portal allows for business integration to the studio's ERP applications with single sign on (SSO) capability using IBM's Tivoli WebSeal product. In addition this solution provides on-line collaboration and instant messaging, Knowledge Management using IBM's Lotus Discovery Server, and team room collaboration using IBM's Lotus Quickplace product.

This solution represents one of the most complete integrations of the IBM family of products for a single customer solution to date. Alphalogix enhanced this offering with their custom developed portal products for the entertainment and media industry.

The entire solution is outsourced to Alphalogix Network Services and is hosted at the Alphalogix Western United States Data center, further lowering the customers total cost of ownership and allowing for rapid "Proof of concept" and application deployment phases. This solution represents significant return on investment (ROI) for the customer as it reduces their many different service offerings and log on systems to a single point of entry and management for their end user population.
