About Steve Tagliere -
"Americana primitive folk art has been a passion of mine since childhood. I grew up in the northwest corner of the San Fernando Valley near Los Angeles. This area was an enclave of many ranches and farms that once belonged to the famous and not so famous from the Golden Era of old Hollywood. I remember Lucy and Desi's long white fenced driveway and the Spanish hacienda that once belonged to Veronica Lake. The actor, John Carroll, lived accross the street from us in a southern colonial complete with a ballroom, stables and racetrack. Along with these beautiful properties, what was on the inside was wonderful and charming. From their barns, stables, fences and grounds to their interiors they were truly world class. In my work I draw on my past from things and scenes that make me happy. I hope they make you happy too!"
