Newtown, CT (PRWEB) December 8, 2003 --Array Genetics, Inc. announces release of its new Web-based DNA microarray project/data management system, microArrayDB 1.0 (µArrayDB 1.0). microArrayDB enables researchers to use their web browsers to enter DNA microarray project information including details of each cRNA target as well as GeneChip® specifications. All information is recorded using a MySQL database on the clients server. µArrayDB 1.0 also has many administrative features; it calculates statistics including the number of DNA microarray projects tabulated by investigator, the number of cRNA records, plus breakdowns of cRNA records based on the organism and tissue/cell type source for RNAs and the type and number of GeneChips scanned. The system also graphically depicts the number of records entered on a monthly basis. Not only can investigators down load their array data via the internet, but µArrayDB 1.0 also permits sharing of microarray data with others via a web interface.
