The 2004 names for Atlantic Hurricanes are the following: Alex, Bonnie, Charley, Danielle, Earl, Frances, Gaston, Hermine, Ivan, Jeanne, Karl, Lisa, Matthew, Nicole, Otto, Paula, Richard, Shary, Tomas, Virginie and Walter.

Just to let you know that not all named Atlantic Storms become Hurricanes. Some do not have sustained 70 mile per hour winds once they hit landfall...those remain tropical storms. However, tropical storms can still be dangerous and in addition to the obvious wind damage, flooding and storm surges can be severe problems caused by tropical storms and hurricanes. So, if Alex, Bonnie, Charley, Danielle, Earl, Frances, Gaston, Hermine, Ivan, Jeanne, Karl, Lisa, Matthew, Nicole, Otto, Paula, Richard, Shary, Tomas, Virginie or Walter doesn't make Hurricane status, please don't take the storm lightly.
