Legendary Soul, R&B and Jazz legend Freddie Scott was recently spotted at Playboy's 50th. Anniversary Party with actor Ron Silver, rap superstar Ja Rule, actress Lara Fylnn Boyle, promoter Noel Ashman, actor Billy McNamara, publicist Celeste Miller and Freddie Scott's manager, Steven Calapai, in New York City on December 3rd. at The Armory on Lexington Ave. Mr. Scott was talking about the release of his new album due out early 2004. "The album will be a return back to my roots of Soul and R&B, more or less a reflection of all my years writing songs and recording hits since the late 60's". "The material is all new and fresh with sounds of todays soul, R&B and jazz mixed with the quality of yesterday". Freddie Scott has had 14 top 20 hits and 2 #1 songs in his career. "Hey Girl" was my most well known hit replies Mr. Scott, but "Are You Lonely For Me" spent 8 weeks at #1 in 1968 and the rapper Biz Markie re did my hit-"You Got What I Need", (Just A friend), in the 80's. Mr. Scott has been a guest of Hugh Hefners in the past and looks forwards to many more years from Hugh Hefner and his magazine.
