YR MEDIA SCOOPS INTERACTIVE MUSIC GONG WITH DIZZEE RASCAL

Cutting edge mobile campaign for UK garage artist Dizzee Rascal wins "Best use of Mobile" at Interactive Music Awards

(PRWEB) December 10, 2003 --WIRELESS marketing expert YR Media has struck gold, scooping a prestigious Interactive Music Award for its work with Dizzee Rascal.

YR Medias cutting edge support for the Mercury prize winning artist won the Bristol-based company the 'Best Use of Mobile Award.

The campaign featured SMS interaction from the artist and a blend of polyphonic ringtones, mobile phone wallpaper and other unique content created by the team hand in hand with Dizzee and his record label, XL Records.

The content for the Dizzee Rascal mobile site was unique and aimed at giving fans what they wanted. Building a strong dedicated fan base is an essential stepping stone to creating a successful artist and the Dizzee campaign really exceeded expectations.

Downloads from the site have broken all records -- largely because the campaign gave the fans a direct line of communication with the artist and offered them something of real value.

The company also had two interactive web-based games short-listed at the awards event hosted in London on Tuesday (December 2).

The 'Blak Twang and the Bling-Bling Shootout game and the 'Off The Wall game created for record label Wall of Sound both reached the final five -- recognising the creativity of one of the industrys up-and-coming independent agencies.
