BRIDE TO CELEBRATE WEDDING DAY AT THRIFT STORE

A bride in Kamloops, BC is spending the morning of her wedding day with 20 other women at a local Value Village store.

Kamloops, BC -- Some brides spend the morning of their wedding day at a spa or treating their bridal parties to brunch. Others, like local Kamloops resident Tamara Macpherson, choose to do something a bit unorthodox; this particular bride is treating her wedding party to a morning of shopping at Value Village.

With more than 20 women ranging in age from 7 to 65, Macpherson and her entourage will descend upon the Kamloops Value Village store on the morning of her wedding.

Why a thrift store on her wedding day? We just dont want to miss the deals," admits Macpherson. Most of the men in our wedding party are going skiing at Sun Peaks with my fiance, but as for myself and the women, were going bargain hunting!"

The group of wedding-day shoppers includes women from BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, and the Yukon.

Our first stop will be the hat department," said Macpherson. Shopping Value Village is great not just for the low prices, but I feel good about shopping there knowing Im supporting their nonprofit partner, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and also honoring the virtues of recycling and environmental friendliness."
