CHRISTMAS LOVE...IN THE AIR AND ON THE AIRWAVES
Some Say its The Next White Christmas" and Feliz Navidad"
ORLANDO FL (PRWEB) December 13, 2003 -- Many music greats have come together to produce what is being called by some the next White Christmas," and Feliz Navida." Christmas Love," and in Spanish Navidad de Amor" was written by Wilson Knott and is already being played on many of the airwaves including 103.1.
Wilson Knott a Florida real estate developer had a dream. This was to write and produce a Christmas song that would spread the message of love not only at Christmas but every day of the year. Knott, a music lover said in an interview Christmas has always seemed to be the greatest time of the year. I have always thought if I could write, produce and sing a song that would bring family and friends together in peace and love I could play a small part in making this world a better place." Knott wanted to especially share these feelings with those he loved and to leave a reminder that would be here even if he wasnt. He joined with producers Nancy Mailloux and Ed Krout and spent months making sure the right team was in place.
Music engineering Guru Juan Pericles" Covas headed up this team with twenty years experience in both live and studio work in the Latin market, Miami, Colombia, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and NY. His credits include Tito Puente, Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony (who he received Grammy winning recognition with on the CD "Contra La Corrine"), Giovanni Hidalgo, Willie Colon, Luis Enriq, ue, Jerry Rivera, Corrine"). This is the last arrangement Covas worked on before his open heart surgery in November this year.
Giovanni Hidalgo, an artist many describe as touched by the hand of God" added his Midas touch to this new release. Hildago has worked with some of the greatest percussionists such as Tito Puente, Armando Peraza, and the late Jose Mangual. He has toured with jazz great Art Blakey and continues to tour with Mickey Hart's Planet Drum. For several years he was a member of the Dizzy Gillespie United Nations Jazz Orchestra. Both Giovanni Hidalg, Sam Montijo and Juan Pericles" Covas was recently featured in an interview for the song on Telemundo. More Television and radio interviews are being scheduled.
Sam Montijo, who recorded the Spanish version is a songwriter, composer and musician and has been singing since the age of six. He was lead singer and musical director for seven years for the Christian Salsa group "La Familia." They recorded their second CD "El Mar Del Olvido" in 2002 under the direction of Juan "Pericles" Covas His main purpose in life is to spread the positive message of peace, hope, and love through his gifted vocals and inspirational lyrics.
Sheri Hargrave has toured as concertmaster and soloist with national companies including "Evita," The Sound of Music," The King and I", "Busker Alley", Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat". Hargrave also toured with Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Rod Stewart, Luther Vandross, Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, Steve Lawrence, and Edie Gome.
