New Website Offers Help for Funding Ministry

The principles of funding ministry are not taught in most seminaries, leaving pastors and other church leaders the painful task of learning on the job by trial and error. Church fundraising resources and stewardship helps for pastors, staff, and volunteers are now available on the Internet in one comprehensive Website. Users call the site "practical," "inspirational," and with "a heart for the local church."

(PRWEB) December 14, 2003 --The authors of a book on funding ministry have launched a unique Website to help church staff and volunteers better fund their ministries and to help members and friends become better donor-stewards. The site, www.guide-to-funding-ministry.net, provides information, resources, and techniques to develop and strengthen church funding programs and personal stewardship.

Information at the site is current and practical for all who want to improve their skills, get great new ideas, and access resources they might not otherwise know about," says Lissa Lee, operator of the Media Resource Center at Harvest Outreach Ministries East Campus, Mandeville, Louisiana The site provides inspiration, insight and encouragement."

The sites publishers are Wayne E. Groner and Dorsey E. Levell, authors of The Pastors Guide to Fund-Raising Success. No other Website we know of brings so many church funding resources together in one place," says Groner. The site includes news of philanthropy, tips from ministers and volunteers, best funding practices, management and leadership techniques, and articles by guest writers."

Guest writers may be anyone involved with funding ministry, including pastors and staff, church members, consultants, freelance writers, and providers of services and products. Topics may be on anything related to funding ministry, including board development, capital campaigns, volunteers, special events, offertories, endowments, and book reviews.

With a heart for the local church and ample resources readily available, this site is an idea whose time has come," says Dr. Curt Dodd, president of Shepherds Group capital campaign consultants, Merritt Island, Florida. Every pastor and ministry leader needs this site on his computer on his ‘favorites list."
